Certainly Natural Gas could bounce at any time, and 4.23 could be a likely area for a bounce. Trends typically terminate or at least pause from 1.272 Fib price extensions, which is exactly where Natural Gas is (basis the Apr contract) on the weekly charts. Tomorrow Natural, Gas weekly storage report is due. Last year’s draw was 42 bcf and the 5 year average draw is 65 bcf. Given the mild March temperatures and recent price action a smaller bcf draw seems to be being priced in.

However fundamentals still weight heavy against Natural Gas:

1. NatGas storage is still 1.2% above the 5 year historical average for this time of year

2. The number of drilling rigs is still increasing and now at a one year high

3. Industrial demand from manufacturing is still MIA.

4. Disproportionate number of front month contracts held by the $UNG ETF weighs heavy on Natural Gas as the speculative demand still skews production supply and demand clearing price.

We built the StockTwits Desktop to give users the full StockTwits experience, giving them access to a range of features all on one screen. One excellent aspect of the desktop is the ability to quickly post charts to Chart.ly. Below you will find a quick review of the process, it’s very similar to the new StockTwits.Com.

Once you’re in the desktop, open the text entry box by clicking on the red MESSAGE button at the top left. Then click on the ADD CHART button below the text entry box.

Enter the symbol of the asset without the $ and click BROWSE.

Search for the file on your hard drive, highlight it, and click open.

This will place the file name in the box below the symbol. Go ahead and click UPLOAD.

A link to your chart will now show up in the text entry box. Remember to add the symbol of the chart with the $ and describe your trade or give a comment about the chart. Hit enter on your keyboard or click the red POST IT button to post your message.

Your chart will now be saved in the Chart.ly archive and will be tweeted to StockTwits and Twitter. Check out the Charts stream and see your message with a link to your chart show up there as well.

We are extremely proud to have launched the new StockTwits.Com this past Friday. We are also stoked to see how far the Chart.ly stream has come, with so many great ideas being shared visually every day. Whether you are an experienced technical analyst or not, there’s something about being able to share your ideas and trades in a visual way that adds so much more to the conversation.

For those of you who are new to StockTwits, or those who have never posted a chart but would like to give it a shot, below is a brief walk through of the process, it’s simple, easy, and takes only a few seconds.

Start by logging into StockTwits and clicking on the text entry box above any stream.

Click the chart button below the text entry box. If you would like your tweet posted to twitter as well, make sure to click the T to the right of the chart button, it will turn blue indicating that your message will be posted to twitter as well.

Enter the symbol of the asset your chart represents, the $ is not required in front of the symbol. After you’ve entered the symbol, click SELECT FILE to search your computer for your chart file. Remember the correct syntax for futures is ES_F and the correct syntax for forex is EURUSD.

Chose the correct file and press open.

The file name will now show up below the text entry box. Press the OK button.

The link to your chart will now show up in the text entry box along with the symbol. You may add to your message by describing the chart, your trade, or anything else you may like to indicate. When you are ready, press the POST button at the bottom right.

Your message will show up in the stream with a link to your chart for all to see. Clicking on the link will bring you to the chart which you can see HERE.
